PhysX Force Shockwave

Created with Autodesk 3ds max 9 with Particle Flow Tools: Box#2 beta by Oleg Bayborodin / Orbaz Technologies, Inc. © 2008

"Apparent shockwave from strong localized spherical wind force - the feature is due to the apparent "compressibility" of the rigid bodies. If you have a tight formation of particles, and then push them from one side (with a PhysX Force operator, for example), the compression wave travels through. The shockwave animation has clear anisotropic property (being directionaly dependent), that is due to the grid structure of the particles, where on major grid axes the compression wave travels better."
