Grass Particles

"The Lock/Bond operator can control both positional and rotational bonding of particles. In this test the position of particles is firmly locked but rotation is flexible and is influenced by Force operators. The Group operators restrict the area where the wind forces are applied."

Grab Grail
Created with Discreet 3ds max 6.0 with Particle Flow Tools by Michele Bousquet / Many Worlds Productions © 2000
"This is a tutorial scene for the Lock/Bond operator. Once a particle (an arrow) collides with an animated surface, it is locked firmly by position and rotation at the point of collision." Disclaimer: No real person or a living being has been hurt or injured during the production of this animation. Any similarity of the character depicted to a real person, living or dead, is purely coincidental."

"Pictures from an animation had been used for grand rounds presentation on VACTERL syndrome and cloacal exstrophy and for the embryology lectures on gastrointestinal development. The animation was particularly helpful in depicting the reasons for findings such as imperforate anus and the predicted presentation of various malformations when mesodermal migration is interupted at various stages."
